Privacy Policy
Plain and simple: this site stores data only on your own device, does not collect or upload your personal information, and shows advertising served by third partners such as Google AdSense. Details below.
1. Overview
FlexWorkPolicy.com is a free static website of guides, calculators and email generators. We designed it to be privacy-first: no accounts, no sign-up forms, no login, no trackers that identify you to us. Everything below describes exactly what is stored, what is not collected, and what third-party advertising technology may do when you visit.
2. What we store on your device (LocalStorage only)
The site uses your browser's LocalStorage — data that stays on your own computer or phone and is never transmitted to our servers. We use it for exactly three purposes:
- Favorites (
fwp_favs): the list of pages you save by tapping the star button. You can view, filter and remove them on the Favorites page, or clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data. - Language preference (
fwp_lang): remembers whether you prefer the English or Chinese version of the site. - Tool inputs auto-save (
fwp_tool_<slug>): your latest calculator or form entries are remembered locally so they are still there if you close the tab and return. You can erase them by using the tool's reset button or by clearing site data.
None of this data is readable by us, is not associated with your identity, and is never sold or shared.
3. What we do NOT collect or upload
We do not collect, transmit, store or process the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, postal address or any account credentials (we have no accounts at all);
- The values you type into any calculator, form or email generator — these never leave your browser;
- Your IP address, device identifiers or browsing history across other websites, in our own systems;
- Sensitive personal information such as health, financial, or government-identifier data.
The only email address on this site, zjp133@outlook.com, appears as a contact link: if you choose to email us, the message goes through your own mail provider to us, and we use it only to answer you.
4. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)
This site displays advertisements. We use Google AdSense and may use other third-party advertising partners. Advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies — such as the NID and ID cookies — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other sites on the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- If you have not opted out of personalized advertising, third-party vendors' and networks' cookies may also be used to serve ads on this site.
For details on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps and Google's advertising technologies.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: where consent is required by law, personalized ads are served only after you accept through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with IAB Europe's Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the consent message or the opt-out links above.
Because these cookies are set by Google and other ad partners, their use is governed by those partners' own privacy policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of third-party cookies.
5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the categories of sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties with whom information is shared; to request deletion; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
In practice for this site:
- We, the operators of FlexWorkPolicy.com, collect no personal information and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
- The advertising cookies described in section 4 are set by Google and other ad partners acting as their own controllers. If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising, use the opt-out links above; California users may also exercise opt-out choices through authorized opt-out mechanisms available online.
- To request information about our own data practices, email zjp133@outlook.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
6. GDPR (EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation regarding your personal data, including the rights to access, rectify, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For this site specifically: as the site operator we process no personal data about you ourselves. The only processing that may occur on your visit is performed by advertising partners (such as Google) as independent data controllers, under their own privacy policies and legal bases. To exercise rights against those partners — for example, to object to personalized advertising — use the opt-out and settings links in section 4. You may also contact us at zjp133@outlook.com and we will point you to the right channel.
7. Children's privacy
This site is intended for working adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site or applicable rules change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect. Your continued use of the site after the date of the revised policy constitutes acceptance of it.
