How the schedule is built
The planner follows three practical rules used by most hybrid teams: recurring meetings happen on-site so you collide with colleagues, your deepest focus work stays at home, and the remaining office days land in the Tue–Thu mid-week block to avoid Monday and Friday commutes while keeping the week contiguous.
- Meeting days are forced to office days unless they conflict with your focus day.
- Focus day stays remote so you protect 3–4 hours of uninterrupted work.
- Childcare pickup keeps on-site days short; commute preference skips Mon/Fir commutes.
Frequently asked questions
Should I pick the same office days every week?
Most teams work best with fixed, predictable days — it lets colleagues plan collaboration around you. Pick a default week like the one this tool builds, and only flex it when big reviews or off-sites happen.
Is Tue–Thu really the best office block?
It is the most common pattern across major hybrid policies because it clusters collaboration mid-week and protects both Mondays and Fridays for deep work and personal life. If your meetings fall on other days, move the block to match them.
How many office days is typical in 2026?
Most large-company RTO mandates sit around 3 days per week, commonly Tue–Thu. Many companies still allow 1–2 fully remote days. Check the 2026 RTO policy guide for the landscape.
What if my required office days are fewer than my meeting days?
That is a conflict worth raising: either move recurring meetings to days you are already in, or ask to bump your office day count. The tool flags this for you automatically.
